What you will do:
During your drysuit orientation and confined water dive, you'll learn how to comfortably and confidently put on and remove a drysuit and perform basic in water skills. Next, you will complete two open water dives with one of our elite instructors, who will happily help you dial in your buoyancy and master your skills. This course requires two steps for certification. Step 1, Knowledge Development and Step 2, in-water training.
Step 1, Knowledge Development:
This may be accomplished in two ways. The first option is the traditional method by watching the PADI Drysuit Diver video and answering the questions in your Drysuit Diver manual. Your instructor will then go over the information with you to ensure comprehension. Option two is by completing the PADI Drysuit eLearning. The eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device.
Time commitment: 2-4 hours
Step 2, In-Water Training:
During your confined and two open water dives, you will practice buoyancy control, mastering drysuit skills and safe diving practices.

As a drysuit diver, you will be able to comfortably stay under water for longer periods of time. Taking the Enriched Air Nitrox course would allow you extend your dives even longer. Also the Peak Performance Buoyancy course would help you get more streamlined and reduce your air consumption. In addition, the first dive of your Dry Suit Diver course may count toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification - ask your instructor about earning credit. Every specialty you earn brings you one step closer to the prestigious Master Scuba Diver rating. The highest rating achievable in recreational diving.
