Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course will change the way you dive, in the best possible way. Learn to identify, prevent and manage problems should they occur. Become a more confident diver and discover why countless divers say Rescue Diver is their favorite scuba course.

What you will learn: 

• Self rescue techniques 

• Recognizing stress in divers and how to manage it 

• Managing emergencies 

• Use of emergency equipment 

• Rescuing panicked divers 

• Rescuing unresponsive divers

What you will do:

This course requires two steps for certification. Step 1, Knowledge Development and Step 2, in-water training.


Step 1, Knowledge Development: The PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. You will complete this independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Your instructor will then review the information with you to ensure comprehension. 

Time commitment: 8-12 hours
Step 2, In-Water Training:

The water training sessions are serious fun. You will practice handling scenarios such as leg cramps, assisting a tired or panicked diver and many more by role playing with other students and your instructor.

Total course time commitment: 3-4 days


Prerequisites:

•12 years of age 

•PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent certification) with Underwater Navigation Dive completed. 

•Emergency First Response with primary and secondary care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months. If required this training may be completed with us. 

•Medically fit for diving. Please note, as outlined in the Medical Statement, a medical examination by a physician may be required for diving. 


Time: PADI eLearning: 8-12 hours. 

Entire course: 3-4 days

After this course: You could pursue the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating by completing five PADI Specialties and logging 50 dives. This is the highest rating achievable in recreational diving. You could also choose to go professional by enrolling in the Divemaster program.
